Great book. I first read it in the late 90s when I was studying humanities. Postman knew, it seems, exactly what was coming for us.

Just used last semester with three classes of high school seniors - all we needed was the preface, and that was enough to propel multiple months of study. Prior to that, had it as an independent reading option through late 2010's. It resonated so strongly with a student in 2019 that she kept thinking about it after graduation, through her jobs in supply chain management, etc...and then her younger sister was in our class this year and relayed how much the book stuck with her older sister. A meaningful read here in 2025 by far.
